Biometric installation at Wellington Academy

Inqb8r documented the successful installation of a cutting-edge biometric solution at the new Wellington Academy.
The fingerprint readers allow staff and students to purchase food, unlock doors and release their print jobs without the need for swipe cards or pin numbers.
The solution brought together a number of companies, who working together, managed to create a very modern system for a very modern school.
The school has been designed to reflect a 21st Century outlook on academic buildings, with a huge atrium and intelligent space.

Bevois
04/03/10
An ongoing short film project in hidden vaults of Southampton
The 10th century tale of Sir Bevois of Hampton, the legendary founder of the City of Southampton who spent the most important years of his life in the Middle East, finding love, fighting lions and many battles, is contained in the Auchinleck Manuscript. Performed by minstrels across Europe and Russia, it enjoyed great popularity well into the 17th century. It represents an invaluable witness to the English language and literature that once influenced Chaucer and his generation
The Bevois of Hampton research project aims to make two scripted short films that explore the legend. The first short film was scripted/developed by the project team.
The shoot gained press coverage from the local press and BBC South.
